“My Goal as a designer is to create gardens that encourage people to enjoy the living beauty of the natural world.  My greatest pleasure and gift is to create beauty and to be of service.”
-Carol McBride

Carol studied painting and sculpture at San Francisco State University, where she earned a degree in fine arts in 1988.  After moving to Southern Oregon,  she continued to study art and began to garden.  Wanting to learn more about gardens and design Carol moved to England where she attended The Oxford College of Garden Design and was awarded a degree in landscape design in 1998.

Since 2000 Carol has been a professional garden designer in Southern Oregon helping countless clients create beautiful landscapes.  When not designing landscapes she enjoys gardening and long walks in nature.  Carol is also committed to giving back to the community.  She volunteered to help design and build North Mountain Park’s Nature Center Gardens in Ashland, Oregon.  After moving to the Illinois Valley she volunteered to design and help build the IV Library’s sustainable landscape.  Carol also lectures on garden design for clubs such as Master Gardeners and The IV Garden Club.
